Constructivist Learning is Connected Learning

Within Constructivist theory, we strive to activate prior knowledge and connect new learning with previous experiences. Additionally, our practice is grounded in theory, and we often consider how we will connect this to our current practice. There is also a social component in which we actively connect with, or engage and interact with others, especially when forming reciprocal relationships and serving as co-learners with those we teach. Whether one is connecting with prior knowledge and experience, connecting theory with real world practice, or connecting through human interaction, this year’s theme invites participants to explore the many different ways that Constructivist Learning is Connected Learning.
